Our Own Voice.

It is easy to write when it is something you are very passionate about. When you are driven to make a great piece of work you are willing to put in the time. Just like everything in life, if you love it, your willing to do anything to do your best. This idea is heavily reflect when it comes to writing. The only problem is we sometimes do not get to choose what we want to write about. Murray explains that "writing is the most disciplined form of thinking", which is very true considering it takes a lot of thought in order to write on something you just lack the knowledge or passion for.
I believe in order to over come the challenge of writing an unmotivated piece we must rely on the fact that how we write and remember that our voice is what over lines it all. This will allow the writer to feel they have a greater control over what is being displayed. Murray makes clear that "your challenge as a writer is to hear your voice then tune it to the topic and the audience" therefore we must put effort into understanding what direction we want to go first. Once we do this our structure and motivation for our writing will be better guided and will make it more enjoyable to write and read.

  1. The first quote you used is so true! Writing really is about discipline, if you pour time and effort into it you will usually get a good product. Also, the point you made about using your view while writing is a good point. It's so easy to forget our voice especially with boring topics. The quote you used in the second paragraph is so inspiring, it gives me hope, knowing that hearing your voice is difficult but it is definitely possible.

  2. Discipline is something that many of us struggle with especially within the bounds of university and procrastination. And trying to turn discipline into a form of passion or just possibly into a great mark is defninately difficult.
