"Ain't ain't in the dictionary." I heard that line from my grade school teachers almost every time they instructed a class on grammar--as if that ultimatum was enough to stop us from using "ain't." I think it just egged us on.

As an avid Gossip Girl watcher and a somewhat dedicated fan I must say I find "grammar girl" to be (almost) as entertaining and filled with useful knowledge (albeit word usage and not hair bow usage)as the show by which she is inspired.
